THE EVERYDAY DETAILS

What Mandee is

Mandee is the counter and the back office of a small business, in one app. It handles what you sell, what you have in stock, what you billed today, who worked which shift, and what the books say at the end of the month. It runs on Android, iOS, desktop and the web from a single shared codebase, so the same business looks the same on the till and on a phone.

Onboarding adapts to what you actually sell

Most business apps assume you sell products off a shelf. Mandee asks first. Setup branches four ways — product, service, booking, or a hybrid of them — and the rest of the app follows that answer. A salon gets appointments and staff; a kirana gets stock and restock alerts; a workshop that does both gets both. You are not left switching off half the screens you were given, or working around a catalog that has no concept of a time slot.

Counter, stock and books in the same place

Catalog and inventory sit behind the billing screen, so a sale moves stock without a second entry, and restock alerts come from real counts rather than memory. Invoicing, expenses and the ledger are part of the same record, not a spreadsheet you reconcile later. Staff have attendance, shifts and role-based access, so a counter assistant sees the till and not the books. Reports read from that one set of records, which is why the daily number and the monthly number agree.

A storefront comes with it

Every Mandee business gets a public storefront on the web, generated from the catalog it already maintains. There is no second product list to keep in sync and no separate upload step: change a price at the counter and the storefront shows it. The app itself is Compose Multiplatform — the same Kotlin code compiled for Android, iOS, JVM desktop and WebAssembly — so the browser version is the real app, not a cut-down mobile site.

A LITTLE CLARITY

Your questions, answered.

Both, and deliberately so. The billing screen, the catalog, the inventory counts, the expense ledger and the staff roster are one system, so a sale at the counter updates stock and the books without a second entry.

Yes. Onboarding branches into product, service, booking and hybrid businesses, and the app configures itself from that choice. A service or booking business gets appointments, staff and scheduling instead of a shelf-stock model.

Android, iOS, desktop and the web. It is one Compose Multiplatform codebase compiled for each target, so the web build is the same application rather than a reduced version of it.

No. A public storefront is generated from the catalog you already maintain in the app, so there is no second product list to keep in sync. Price and availability changes made at the counter are what the storefront shows.

Mandee is the merchant side and Mandee Store is the customer side. Shoppers browse and order from merchants through Mandee Store; those orders land in the same business records the merchant already works from.
